James Chen, DDS, MMSc
Dr. James Chen is a prosthodontist, a dental specialist in smile solutions, implant dentistry, and oral reconstructions. He completed his prosthodontics residency at Harvard University where he received his Master of Medical Sciences degree (MMSc) and certificate in prosthodontics. Prior to that, he finished his dental training and attained the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University. Dr. Chen is one of the few dental specialists in the country to further his training by completing a two-year fellowship in advanced dental implant surgeries at Loma Linda University, where he received his certificate in dental implantology. This provides him the rare expertise to combine both the prosthetic and surgical backgrounds of dentistry to deliver the most comprehensive care to his patients.
Dr. Chen also completed a sleep medicine mini residency at UCLA, focusing on the treatment of snoring, sleep apnea, and sleep breathing disorders with oral appliances.

A native of Arcadia, California, Dr. Chen is proud to serve the community where he grew up. One of his favorite pastime is fishing the turquoise-blue lakes of the Eastern Sierras while savoring the passing of a perfect summer afternoon.
